So . . . if you read in Rebecca's thread about Spiders you read about my Wii.

Cayten thought it was a piggy bank I guess. He was playing boxing on it cause he loves it, I step out of the room to go get Rysa, I come back and it has an error message on the screen. I didn't think anything of it, and did what it said to do "eject the disc". The disc wouldn't come out. I look in it and there sits a quarter. I pick it up and more money falls out. i think there may be more stuck in there which is why it isn't working but how do I get it out . . . I don't know. I called Nintendo and they are really nice and said it has a 1 year manufactures warranty on that but it doesn't cover toddlers I am sure. I called the store and we can return it but they would just have to give us our money back because they don't have any in stock. This is a solution I don't want but could work except . . . I haven't told dh yet. We bought two, one for us and one to sell at Christmas so I hooked up the other one until I figure out how to tell him . . . I have this pit in my stomach. He doesn't really allow for "accidents" He thinks I can have my eyes glued at ALL times.

I'm not sure how to respond...your dh doesn't "allow" for accidents? My kids have done things while I'm standing RIGHT THERE!! They are quick little things.

I'm sorry that Cayten decided to use the Wii as a piggy bank. I'm sure you are just sick! I hope you have the outlets covered, that's another "fun" place to put money.

I'm not sure how you would get the money out. Dh has this long skinny thing with a claw thing at the end that we use to get things stuck in small spaces. You reach in with it and push the botton on the end and the claw grasps whatever you are trying to get. He's used it to reach bolts and things that fall in the engine bay of the car.
As far as telling Dh, **sigh** I've been there and it's not fun. My Dh thinks the same as yours does. Your eyes must not leave them for a second. If anything happens, then it's your fault because you weren't watching them closely enough.

OHHH crap... Ty has only put DVD's in the Wii.. SO FAR..lol..

Let DH watch both children all day and let's just see how well he watches BOTH 100% of the time. And don't forget to tell him to clean the house and have supper on the table by the time you get home. WTH are these idiot men thinking? Obviously are the ones who make up stupids laws that have nothing to do with the reality of raising children.

I would just tell him what happened and if he makes snide comments tell him you would be happy to go to work while HE takes care of the children all day by himself. DB thought it shouldn't be too hard until he did it 1/2 time for 1 week with ours. Then he was singing a different tune.

He just has to watch our 1 child for a few hours and he's ready to give the demon child back to me.

I got the spider out by taking the cover off the DVD player. The problem with you doing this with your Wii is that it may void the warranty. You are probably better off just returning it and getting on the waiting list for a new one.

I told Liriel this morning when she wanted to watch her video that it didn't work (I don't know if it does or not yet) because someone put a spider in it. I said "If you put a spider in the DVD player say 'I'." and she said "I" with a little smile on her face.

I figure having to miss her morning movie will "hopefully" be a lesson remembered and activity not repeated.

I'm probably hoping in vain though.....
