Albeit a day off, today has been less than restful for me.

DH left the house at 6:30 AM for work. Noah woke me up around 7:15ish, demanding "cookies!"

I dragged out of bed, got myself dressed and had to clean Noah's nose. He hates that.

We went to Starbucks and Noah had pumpkin loaf and chocolate milk. He kept trying to yank the straw out of the cup, but managed to drink everything without incident.

A nice gentleman brought his two dogs to Starbucks. Noah, being enthralled with "goggieeees" insisted that he pet and be close to the goggieeees. While this was fine, eventually, I needed to leave. Um, no. MELT DOWN. Embarassing.

We make it to SuperTarget and buy a few things. Including a dinosaur and an elmo see 'n say. Wanna know why? A thunderstorm kept us shut into Target for a while. It was torrential. Noah wanted a nap and every toy in sight....I had to acquiesce on the toys...blah again.

I finally get home and guess what?

Somebody stole our garden hose nozzle. Not to get into it, but somebody had also taken our POOPER SCOOPER AND POOL SKIMMER. This is a nice joint. It's gated with a plethora of security staff.....and folks who steal. Nicest place we have ever lived and the only place where things have been stolen....ironic, no?

I needed the sprayer to spray off the pool deck, as our beloved "goggieeeee" POOPED on the deck, and I had NO SCOOPER and NO SPRAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need a drink. Oh I didn't have my ID when we went to SuperTarget, so I couldn't buy my wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I will stop!

Ugh! What a morning it's been for you, eyh? Sorry hun. Wonder who on earth would steal such items from you??? Maybe it was a dare or a teenage prank of some sort.

I've actually found that if I let Liriel hold a toy she likes and wander around the store awhile, she eventually gets bored of it and I can put it back on the shelf without any melt downs. I'll be a bad shopper and ditch it on any convenient shelf if it gets me out ASAP and I don't have to go by the toys again.

I've also been one to quiet the "sweet" children with choco milk and a bag of popcorn at Target. We have also been known to dump a ton of toys at the register where I whisper to the checker that they are "put backs". They usually go into the put back bin without incident. When they discover they didn't get what they hoped, we are either in the car on the way home or at home and they can have a melt down without mommy being totally embarrassed

As far as the pooper scooper....I guess you should leave it a little dirty next time so the thieves leave it alone
