Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
I sure hope it's not as serious as it sounds. I know this isn't the way you guys want to spend your summer. Is he having to repay the surgery or did he get it covered?

They covered the last surgery and PT at 90% - leaving him 10% which is about $2,000 for him to pay still for surgery #1. Not sure if they will cover the 2nd one or not. Sounds like he won't have to pay any money up front for the 2nd surgery at least - so if he needs surgery, he will probably be able to get Thursday. When they asked him yesterday if he could get health insurance through work he was dumb and said yes. Even though he didn't have access to it until AFTER his first injury, and thus they would not cover it even if he did pay 50% of his take home pay for health insurance with a $1,000 deductible. Wouldn't matter if he got it now - nothing would be covered. The irony being the health insurance plan he could get (that would reject his claim) is through that hospital. So now they were talking about not covering anything because he could have had insurance. Not that he could afford to pay the hospital and clinic anything if he had to pay for the insurance.
Don't you just love our medical system! And now the fine state of Wisconsin wants to tax hospitals! Which means tax the sick and injured even more! I'm still trying to figure out how this is helping anyone in the state.
I know in the state of FLorida, they aren't allowed to use pre exisiting conditions on group policies. It's something to look into...that's how my pregnancy with Dean was covered....i got on a goup policy, and it wasn't considered pre exsisiting. If I got a private policy, they wouldn't have covered it. Just something to check.

Federal law prohibits pregnancy to be consider pre-existing condition.
In WI - I've heard if you are on a group plan and switch to another plan, they can't consider anything "pre-existing". But he hasn't had insurance in some time - only briefly - like 2 months - in the last 7 years. And group plans have to take you on even if you have pre-existing conditions, but they don't have to cover the condition for a certain amount of time.
Are you freakin' kiddin' me??? Kill the man. Just kill em dead for his stupidity.
But then I wouldn't get the life insurance if I did the killing. But they did tell him they thought he would be able to go golfing in a week or so. So I'm thinking he would have done it sooner vs. later. He'll find on on Wednesday exactly what he did do to his leg.
