This past week I spoke to a few of my previous co-workers and they told me rumor had it that i was never supposed to lose my job. That it was a mistake and the property manager knew it but didnt fight it

So luckily i still had my corporate (las Vegas) boss's cell number and i called him to find out if the rumor was fact or fiction. Well guess what. It was completely a fact I wanted to go through the phone and beat him.

He said that when i returned from maturnity leave and was transferred that HR never changed my title in the organizational heirarchy (sp). therefore when financial was cutting positions i will still listed as an admistrative assistant instead or operations administrator. He told me if he would have known that, i would have never lost my job.

He did ask if i would be willing to come back. I told him if they would have tried to fix it when it first happened i probably would have but after almost a month and no one ever contacted me, that there was no way in hell.

I told him i was very happy with my new job and i was also working for the same company as my DH so if a transfer came about we would both have work where ever we went. He apologized all over himself but it was so insincere.

Its infuriates me to the max. Should i be mad or just let it go? (still havent gotten my bonus that was owed to me either, probably never will.)

I would be lying if I said I would just let it go. I would be totally pissed that they didn't do the decent thing and stick up for me. I think you're better off not working for or with people like that. They obviously didn't care enough to fix the error when it happened.

I would be very upset but I wouldn't have gone back to them at all. If he didn't stick up for you once then it will happen again. I would call him back several times and contact HR about the bonus. Do you have something in writing that states that you were supposed to receive it?

Yes i have my sign performance appraisal that gives the percentage of bonus i am supposed to receive. The current employees there have not received theirs either. I think it has something to do with it being a new company...
