It's inevitable, we can not leave the house with the kids without being stopped by multiple people for various reasons.... having many kids, Rylie's hair, etc. An usually Sadie and Cayne are not even with us. Rylie's hair is an attraction all on its own. We get asked some of the craziest/offensive things, people even go as far as to as if they can touch her hair - yes seriously! So at the pedi office this morning we're in the sick room and theres a mom with 2 kids. One was probably around 4 and the other a little younger than Peyton. She is staring at us, I figured it was because of Peyton's eye (he was sitting on Bobby's lap). I was about ready to ask her if she had a problem or quite possibly drop kick her across the room (yeah I'd had a morning at that point!) when she says Oh my god, are they all yours? Um...... yes! Well they seem very close in age how old are they she says. So I told her 2.5, 1.5 and 7 months. Oh wow, you must really have your hands full! I said yeah things can get pretty hectic at times. Then after a minute or so (still staring) she says wow, you look pretty young. I tell her thank you... I'm old enough to have a 12 year old at home too! I thought her jaw was gonna hit the floor ! I'm getting rather annoyed by now, but it gets better.... then she says to us gee, her hair is so curly... where did she get that from?? So Bobby responds with oh, we perm it (yep, we've been asked that too). With the nastiest snarl and tone in her voice she says Oh my god, do you really do that to her? I told her of course we don't its all natural. Thankfully that shut her up! The nerve of some people though

Next time, for kicks, tell them about the two at home and that you all plan on having at least 6-7 more! People really really do suck. I get questioned as to if I really am Josi's mom because of her blue eyes. Just because I have brown eyes, doesn't mean it's impossible, it's called recessive genes people!
Yep - it's going to happen. My mother said she got all kinds of nasty stares when she dragged us around in the 70's baby bust era. What with 7 kids in 10 years she was a bit of an anomaly. But you know - BC doesn't always work.
While rude to ask if Rylie's hair is natural - I wouldn't be surprised if some people did perm their toddlers hair. But isn't it so much more amusing to toy with people? Maybe next time say they are not yours, you're just borrowing them because you enjoy spending time in the Pediatrician's waiting room. Or your just borrowing them and hope their parents don't notice they are gone before you can return them. Or people keep leaving them on your doorsteps.

Well someone has to keep the Social Security System working. I actually have a friend with blue eyes and her DH has blue eyes and their child has brown eyes. Hows that for weird? If she hadn't gotten pregnant alnatural she - she was planning on AI the next month - she would have gotten a DNA test done. Because 2 blue eyed people are not suppose to make a brown eyed child. But he does have their blond hair. LOL

Don't people know when to mind their own business???? The nurse at the hospital when Lauryn was there asked me where Lauryn got her blond hair because Dh and I are so dark One day she's gonna say that to the wrong person.
