Thanks girls. DH brought the TV back upstairs tonight so we could see if the thing would turn on or not lol - amazingly, despite the huge chips and chunks taken out all around, the screen is pretty much okay. There is one thin line running down the right side of the LCD screen, but it's so thin I don't think it interfers with the viewing too much. It's actually a Samsung and seems pretty damn strong. I guess we'll just have to fork out for that projection screen DH has been wanting for our downstairs family room and this will be our new "junk TV" for the kids. $1500 junk TV *grumble*

Ah well, I'd rather a TV go down those stairs than one of my little ones. DH is going to try to put up a gate along the entire slate planter tonight so we can hopefully prevent any future boo-boos.

Yowza!!!

We have a nice, expensive, lcd tv.... but the ONLY reason we have it is because it was my father's. I swore to NEVER buy a nice tv until the kids were much older. There will be hell to pay if any of them damage this tv. But, thankfully...I don't have to worry about that. They KNOW they can't touch it. And, they know that if they do... there WILL be trouble.

Chris, I cringed reading your post about the TV. What did they say? Is it covered? Man, I would be killing a few kids if it had been me. We (DAvid and I) were litterly just discussing hanging our TV on the wall and getting a stand with doors that I can lock things up, cause, little man is getting into EVERYTHING.
