How's your brakes? Was is the fluid? If the fluid is old it will lose it's viscosity and can freeze. Or if there was condensation in the lines they can freeze. Or if your master or slave cylinder is getting tired and worn out you can have that. Hopefully it is something as simple as flushing the system (that is pretty cheap and easy fix).
