Aw Amy I feel so badly for you

Our moms must share the same brain waves lol - I just got into a huge fight with mine over the phone last night. She's been all jealous over MIL seeing Dawson first and staying for so long (in a hotel!) She said her usual crap - that I don't love her, don't respect her, think I'm better than her and I only want MIL in my life because all I care about is money She hung up on me THREE times and I called back each time to get her to talk. Basically, the usual lol. Finally I said forget it, when she was ready to grow up I'd be there. But until then, I wasn't going to deal with anymore.

Funny, she called me this morning all apologies I don't know why I bother putting up with her, but I guess the same reason I've put up with her my entire life - she's my mom lol.

You were totally right in what you told her. I can't believe the one thing that upset her was not the prospect of never speaking to you again, but the prospect of not having you to do her pictures! Keep your distance and let her come crawling back if she wants to. Then just take her relationship for what it's worth - a grain of salt. Just remember you don't need her, then the relationship is one you can take or leave and these things won't hurt so badly anymore.

Cheer up sweetie, focus on the people who really love you!

Oh Amy, I am so sorry you're having to go through this. Especially with your own mother. I believe you've made the right decision though. I just can't imagine what you're going through. You're a great mom and you're not too old. Look at me, I had my 1st child when I was 36. I really want two more, so that's going to be putting me over 40 having them. But it doesn't matter, age is just a number. You can be a great mom at any age. My grandmother was 47 when she had my dad. Just focus on you and that sweet little miracle you're carrying. Right now, that's all that matters.
