My uterus is screaming at me to MAKE MORE BABIES!!
Vanity sizing!
I really am hating vanity sizing right now! I need to vent and I don't want to hurt anybody with it, but I am just so annoyed I have to get it out.
I am kinda disappointed in Old Navy, I got some size zero jeans and they are a little big. I have other jeans that are big too. My LEI 3's are big, my Weathervane 1's are big. Because of vanity sizing I am having a hard time getting jeans that fit! I so don't want to be a size 00 again. I was anorexic back in the day and weighed 93 tiny yucky pounds at 5' 2 1/4" tall. I was couldn't fit into kids sizes because of my hips and the size 1's and 0's were too big. I don't want to be back to no clothes fitting. I'm 120 pounds right now instead of sickly stick thin and am having the probs I had back then? When did 120 get to be such a hard weight for me to clothe? When I weighed 120 (I gained a bit of weight over a year or so because I finally saw how awful I looked) before I fit into 2's nicely.
I hate having to vent about 'small' pants being too big. But vanity sizing has me feeling like I am back at anorexia when I am actually at a healthy weight! Arrrrrrgh!
It sucks when you can't find cloths that fit. I have a similar problem with shoes - but it's because my feet are too flipping big. Can you sew at all? Then you could make cloths that fit. Of course, even if you can sew, one has to find time to sew.......
I found that the maternity cloths at Old Navy were sized big. How does cloths at other retailers fit?
And 120 lbs at 5'2" sounds like a nice healthy weight to me. I think my ideal at 5'4" is about 130 lbs - but I would be happy with 140. But how come you need size 0 at 5'2" and 120 lbs???? When I was 135 lbs at 5'4" - I could squeeze into a size 10. Does 2 inches and 15 lbs make that big of a difference???

Not sure. My BFF was in a 0 only at 110 pounds and she is 5'3". If she was 120 she was in a 3. Guess it's how it distributes on your body. My boobs may only be 34D/32DD (I prefer a 32 for non riding up) but they weigh a bit I guess . I didn't mind the vanity sizing after baby when I was in an 8 about a week after Josalyn was born and I was at 158.8 lbs!
I need to try out more than just JCP and Kohl's and ON I guess. Maybe it's off to Target for me...
I hate vanity sizing! I just find it annoying to never know what size pants you are going to be at different stores. I really wish they would start sizing women's pants the same way as they do men's. Would make life so much easier. Good luck finding some pants that fit!
I hate buying jeans!! I have found one fit that fits me great at New York & Co. Unfortunately, it's the most expensive one they carry (only $50, but to me that's a lot).
Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
We must have vastly different sized hips and thighs because I could never dream of fitting into a 0 or 1, even at my lowest weight 123 and 5'6". I know that Target's stuff is usually way too small for me in the butt and thighs, so I would check them out if you're having trouble with the smaller sizes being too big. Express used to be sized smallish in hips and thighs too (back in the day). I find with Target I need a large in sweats and stuff and a 10 for butt and 6 in waist and that's not gonna work Is 5,7,9 (or was it 3,5,7?)still in business? They were on the small side too. Buying pants of any kind SUCKS!
My best friend is 5'2" and 125 lbs and has similar issues. After being frusterated with how pants fit her for years, she's finally found a resolution. She takes ALL of her new pants (jeans, pants & sweats) to the dry cleaners to have them altered. It costs her $20 per pant, but says it's totally worth it.
