You know, we made plans around my MIL...around HER. She calls to change them, and that just didn't work for us. We had made plans. Hello, I have a new business, and my DH has been swamped. This is no secret.

What does she go and do, you ask?

She refuses to serve the planned, yearly traditional dinner of homemade italian ravioli...saves it for the nephew, who will be there on Christmas Day. Whom, by the friggin way, ONLY EATS CHICKEN NUGGETS AND PRINGLES. Douche.

Oh no, IT GETS BETTER. That crazy ho is serving seafood. TO MY TODDLER. She knows, knows, knows, knows, knows, that Noah cannot eat seafood....she knows! We've had the discussion!!!!!!!!!

But that's totally ok, gals. You know why? Because for once, in 7.5 years, my DH actually agreed with me that she's being wretched & mean! Waaahoooo!

My DH really made my year by letting us do Christmas Eve in our home this year... and deciding that we should every year so the kids are in their home! I am absolulely thrilled to not have to do the yearly switch off of spending time with each family. I get no guff from mine over it, but his mother had the gall to ask me why I would spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my aunt's house (where everyone usually gathers) this year! That's where the doing it at our home came from.
