"Yo Mama!"

I tend to post under this topic but seriously, what was I thinking?
Cayten has a horrible yucky cold/allergies. Last night he fell asleep at 6:00 and try as I might, he would NOT wake up. So, we all went to bed later that night and he was still asleep. I knew this was NOT a good thing but what could I do? No I am sitting here on the computer at 3:00 AM, not because of Rysa or anything but mine and dh stupidity. I am venting because as I lay there in bed feeding Rysa at 2:30 (why she woke up . . . I do not know, two teeth coming in) and Cayten says "I'm hungry". Why wouldn't he be hungry, he hasn't had anything since lunch. I ask dh to get him a sandwich and he blew up at me and Cayten. He said "you chose to sleep through, you go with out" umm HELLO NOT! I am so pissed because he constantly tells me to just wake him up if I need help so I tried to do just that, I was tied up with Rysa so I couldn't really help, and he blows up at ME? AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH |

Equal Opportunity Offender Hussy!

Scott and I have gone through this battle many times before. I usually want to allow Noah to keep sleeping, but he'll just wake Noah up and force him to eat. Of course, the disruption makes Noah super cranky, AND Noah usually has zero appetite from just waking up!
Sucks - have been there many, many times! |

Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??

I think the worst scenario is 2 cranky, tired parents trying to appease a cranky, hungry, tired, and/or sick child. We tend to snap at each other and in the morning wonder "why did I do (or say) that".
Chances are Cris didn't really mean that, but he was tired and cranky. We were in a similar situation last night dealing with a sick Lauryn. I wasn't very nice, but I never am when I'm that tired. I would've let my kids sleep through if they didn't wake easily. |

![]() When they are sick you should let them sleep, not wake them up. Besides, when mine sleeps late in the day, if I do wake her up or she wakes up she's up really late. |
