Hunting for a new Brain!

So I have been making some handmade envelopes and I use rubber cement to glue them together. I just noticed that the bottle says not to use if you are pregnant or contemplating pregnancy. I didn't even think about not using it. Do you think it is really that serious if I use it sparingly in a well ventalated area? I don't want to hurt my baby if I get pregnant but it's not like I'm sniffing the stuff.

The funny thing about that is that I have a pack of perm markers that says the same thing....I dont sniff them either. Unless you are using it and constantly sniffing the fumes in I dont think you have to worry about it....rubber cement isnt acid free so you can actually damage your paper or photos using it so dont use it on anything you want to keep for a long time.....

Sorry this is kind of a different subject but...
My rubber cement 'says' that it is acid free. Do you think that it would still be a problem? What would you use to glue together an envelope? I find that my other types of glue don't stick enough to handle going through the mail but I don't want to ruin anything either. |

It is Eler's Craft bond acid free/photo safe rubber cement. I think I got it at Smith's?
I don't even know if you guys have Smith's but there you go. I'm just glad I can keep using it at least on occasion. Take my crafts away and I would go nuts ![]() |
