I got the best Christmas present this year!

Hey girl,
Have you seen this. www.babychoice.com Makes me wonder if that is why there are "waves" of boys and "waves" of girls. Just wondering what you thought. Thanks, |

Working Hard Keeping the Hussy's In Line

Hummmm....that definitely is interesting Tricia. Wonder if it is the diet more so than the days though??????
But, an 87% success rate with a $ back guarantee is pretty amazing. You really couldn't go wrong in that case. |

Yeah I've seen quite a few of those things, I'm sure their success rate is more around 50%
I had emailed this one doc who used that method, asked for the exact same stuff that site does, and she said I had one boy and one girl already and that this baby was a boy - talk about being off! One thing though that actually has been proven is that more boys are born in warmer climates and warmer months, while there are more girls born in colder climates and winter months. (I believe the "official" reasoning for that is since girls are physically hardier creatures, they have a higher chance of survival in cold weather, and nature knows that.) For me it was true - Cade was actually due in mid/late March, so spring, and Parker was due in August. Now here I am due mid November, late fall/early winter with a girl. Not to mention the fact that on the November due date board on FF girls outnumber boys by 16 I think your best bet is to start trying around Feb/March so you'd be due in the fall/winter, take the girl supps (a little vitex, cranberry, cal/mag etc) for about 2 months before you start trying, and hope for the best |

Chris,
I wonder if the food supplements assist to change the "polarity" b/c one minute they use the word polarity and the next they use the word PH. well if it is ph, I think FF and the gender section has proven that it is more diet and cutoff dater! do you agree?? Is the "girl" diet low in sodium?? I now it is a pretty grpss diet. |

I honestly don't think that changing the pH does much
The normal odds for a first time mom are 51% boy, 49% girl. Changing your environment probably alters that to 49% boy, 51% girl, if anything at all. I truly believe it's that insignificant of a difference.I think cut-offs are less successful than pH changing, simply because I've seen SO many girls with 2 or more day cut-offs end up with boys, me being one of them. Cade was a one-shot deal a couple days before O, I had no EWCM, so by all "theories" he should've been a girl. Parker we BD like crazy, sometimes even twice a day, so again according to the BD pattern/frequency method, he should've been a girl (BDing often lowers DH's sperm count, therefore giving him a higher XX sperm supply). And this time our BD pattern was classic boy - BD night before O, night of O and morning after O. And again the theories were wrong. My pH was NOT girl-favorable when I got preggo this time. Ideally according to theory it should be around 4.5, no more than 5.0 if TTC a girl. Mine was about 5.5-6.0 with streaks of 6.5 plus we used PreSeed which has a pH of 7.5 and is totally boy-favorable. And instead cups which again are totally boy favorable since they keep the sperm close to the cervix, making it easier for those boys to get through. So by all accounts this should've been a boy. I've seen so many girls on FF who followed the girl diet faithfully for months, one even lost a ton of weight on it (which isn't hard to believe since it's AWFUL and lets you eat hardly a thing), took vitex, cranberry, cal/mag, and a few other vitamins/herbs that are girl-favorable. She had like a 4 day cut-off too. What did she end up having? Boy #3. Honestly I think it comes down to fate and luck, whichever you believe in Here's the girl diet in case you're interested and some meal ideas I used: Quote:

I knew the girl diet was yucky...........
i think it is funny how before it was "oh the supplements are what you need ............. to have a girl" and now that you are Pg w/ a girl it is just fate. A large part of me believes I will get what I am suppose to have............... But I don't want to believe that I am not suppose to have a girl and end up w/ all boys because I am not good enough for a girl............. |
