having a boy. i would like to try for a boy next. i know that nothing is 100% and i would be totally thrilled with another girl. it would be so nice to have a boy though so that my poor sophia won't have to spend her teenage summers doing concrete with her father. i like doing concrete, but i don't want to force my daughter to do it.

i'm not familier with any of the "methods" to increase your chances with one or the other.

is anybody here a "method" expert?

A boy you need to bd during Ovulation. It helps to get close to the cervix as possible (Doggy style sorry if TMI) and it is good to have a build up like 2 days without then bd on Oday. I have also read that drinking caffeine (your dh) right before you bd helps the boy sperm. And it helps for you to reach orgasm. I know there is more but I can't think of any right now. Sorry it is so tmi!

Ditto what Amanda said, and EWCM EWCM EWCM. You want to have lots of abundant EWCM or wet CM because that's what boy sperm do best in. Girls you want to dry it up and make it acidic, boys the more the better. You can try taking EPO or guafinesin (in plain Robitussin or can buy in pill form like Mucinex but that's pretty expensive) to make your CM more watery. PreSeed is also a good option if you don't want to take stuff. I used PreSeed, tons of BD right through O and got boy #2.

we conceived Ty by pulling out every time until I got my temp rise then we just let the boys flow. I wasn't trying to get preggo (trying to prevent actually) and thought I had O'd a few days before. I can try to post my chart if you like.

PreSeed is a lubricant that's safe for spermies - in fact it supposedly helps them do a better job. It mimics wet CM so it's more conducive to boys. I used it for the first time along with Instead cups (I highly recommend those with PreSeed because it is so wet that otherwise half of the "stuff" comes out lol - sorry TMI!) and got my BFP with Parker.

You can just google PreSeed and buy it online. It's kind of expensive, but I found I didn't even use a whole tube at a time - just 1/3 or so.

I have NO clue. But, I do know that when Ian was conceived I had NO Ewcm at all!

I was convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that we were NOT pregnant. We BD'd ONCE that cycle...and it was 3 days before O, with NO ewcm. And, Ian is all boy! LOL!
