I took Kate into Urgent Care because yesterday she complained that her back hurt her and she only peed 4 times the whole day.

So we get her to give a urine sample...that was tons of fun. She has a UTI....and so the dr noticed she was really congested, I assumed it was because she hadnt had her allergy meds yet. The dr decides since we were there to do a through exam even though she was just there on Tuesday. Lo and behold....STREP....she has a nice viral rash all over.....and a lovely case of strep. Fever and congestion as well. Joy joy....so we are on antibiotics and some some stuff to get rid of the congestion.

Of course antibiotics always gives her diarrhea and that is so much fun with a kid that is just recently potty trained...when she didnt make it to the potty on time she was so heartbroken, crying that she pooped in her Dora underpants....My poor baby.

Oh my Lisa...you are SO having a crap day. You poor thing and poor Kate!!!!

How miserable. It seems when there is one illness present, it is always compounded by SOMETHING else. Man. I feel for you. Noah has had a perma-cold that causes him to gag and subsequently, BARF, like everyday.

I feel you. Wow. Hope miss Kate is feeling better sooner than later...

Poor Kate!! Tyler is right there with her.. Fever,poop and puke.(not as bad as a UTI and strep though, poor girl)
I am glad you got her in and the Dr. did a good check on her so you didn't have to go back for the strep. I hope she feels better soon. And it is so hard on them when they are so proud to be pt and then they have an accident.

Poor baby. Mine has had a nasty cold since 2 AM Friday - but nothing nearly as bad as poor Kate. Don't forget the some cranberry juice. Quite a few companies are now making 100% cranberry juice that has a apple or grape juice base for sweeting.

My kid often only goes 4 or 5 times a day - unless she is chugging liquids. So, because I'm paranoid, I periodically ask if her back hurts or if it hurts to pee.
