Default imaginary friends

Is this "normal"? I get told that "Bob" is in the potty and I can't go in there, and that "Bob" is sleeping and I have to be quiet, etc. I just play along, but am I doing the right thing?

Dh had an imaginary friend for a long time! One time they went to the bank to visit his aunt and "Timmy" got locked in the vault. He cried all the way home and his aunt had to bring "Timmy" back to him after she got off work.

I say it's normal. Personally, I would play along. I don't see that it hurts anything.

It's totally normal... and it's absolutely fine to go along with it.

Joshua's psychologist and psychiatrist both have told us that imaginary friends can be a very positive developmental thing. Of course, if he starts doing "bad things" and blaming his imaginary friend, then problems can arise.

Very normal. They say that children with imaginary friends are more likely to have a higher IQ as well.
