"mom" instead of "mommy"?!?!?!? Now I hear, "hey, mom... " or "look, mom", etc. I called my mom "mommy" until I was in the 6th grade He seems so grown up and he's only 3! Do you think he just picked it up from hearing us call our moms "mom"?

Believe it or not but Will still calls me mommy when it's just us but in front of his friends or others we're mom and dad.

My nephew is 5 and he's called his parents mom and dad for as long as I can remember.

At least he's not calling you by your first name. I was over at my neighbors on Saturday and she said her son who's 2 1/2 came into the kitchen last week and said "Hello Kristin". She was like what??? I'm mommy...he just laughed and said "no...Kristin". She said he's been doing that off and on and just laughes so she thinks he does know the difference.
