Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
|
Lauryn has been awful at night (as ya'll know) and since we started the nasal spray it's bad during the day too. She coughs contantly and was very hoarse. I figured it was the spray, called the ENT and got the most clueless dippy on the phone! She obviously did not look at the chart and had no clue what Lauryn's issue is. She told me she was sure it wasn't the spray, but to D/C it and call in 2 days. Well, check the side effect profile moron! Anyway, she said to use saline. And WTH is that supposed to do for adenoids?!?!? NOTHING! GRRRR! This was Monday. I called them back yesterday because now she has a fever (102) and they can't get her in until our original appointment in the morning. I called the pedi and have an appointment for this afternoon, but still have the appointment for tomorrow at the ENT. It just seems ridiculous to go this afternoon and then tomorrow. I'm thinking I can't go through another night like last night plus she has the fever. Maybe it's her ears because things aren't draining properly with the adenoids like that? Did she just pick up a virus when we were at the dr office last week???? I have an otoscope, but I can never see anything with it (It's a POS).
Sorry for the book, I guess I'm more frustrated than anything because I don't have an answer. Last edited by Emma; 12-13-2007 at 01:31 PM. |

I've tried to prop her up and she soon wiggles back down. She slept (well not really) with me last night and was all over the place. Why won't she just tell me what's wrong with her?!?!?! She wants to sit on my lap a lot, asks for tea and hot chocolate, still fights with her brother, but has moments where she just wants to lay on the couch and be left alone. Thanks for the hugs, I need them.

Because I said so, that's why!

It is so frustrating when they are not feeling well. I guess if you have an appointment tomorrow with the ENT - I would not bother bringing her in today - unless she gets worse. My DCP's 5-year-old has been on and off steroids this fall and when she got her first dose she was bouncing off the walls. |

Still the best Christmas present EVER!

: I would wait for the ENT tomorrow. I think with the situation you are in your ENT would have a better out look and if it is an EI he is still the one to take care of it. I am sorry this is so rough!!! Hopefully it will be resolved SOON!!!![]() |

Bottoms Up!

I guess I'm in agreeance with Lisa, I'd still take her in today so if she does have an EI she'd get antibiotics ASAP instead of having to wait another day.
This all just really sucks. She's been dealing with this crap for way to long now. I'm sorry sweetie. ![]() |

From what I understand they have to be free of infection for a certain amount of time before they do surgery if that's what we decide on. I guess we'll go in today to have an ear check and if she says, "it's just a virus" I might just slap her or have a melt down
