Bottoms Up!
|
For now, please refer to him as Dick Tater Vanderveer.
We're living in dictation HELL right now with Carson. He yells at us, demands everything to us, nothing satisfy's his needs, none of us can do right! Here are some examples: He has to pick out his diaper for cristsake, if we do it, he'll kick us and throw a fit. He demands what food he wants to eat and what he wants to drink. God-forbid I choose something for him. He wears what HE wants or will cry and throw a fit. Brushing teeth at night is on his terms... he insists "I got it" and then proceeds to suck on the toothbrush and play with the water because that's more fun. Those are just a few examples of the crap he's been puting us through right now. I'm so fed up with being dictated to by him! We all are. It's causing Bill & I to argue and Cody wants nothing to do with Carson right now. Where did my good little boy go? |

Ditto, Cayten is doing about the same thing. He hasn't gotten quite that bad yet but he knows what he wants and how to get it. I don't know if you do time out or if it works for him, but no matter what, if Cayten starts throwing fits like that, he goes into time out. We make him stand in a corner and look at the wall. He HATES it. In about 30 seconds he is saying "sorry mommy" and wants out. We keep him there for about a min and a half. Some examples of what he is doing . . .
He insists on wearing the shoes he wants, even if they are sandals in the snow He refuses to wear his coat, it is 25 degrees here, unless it is his idea to put it on He wont eat his food, he has to eat off our plates, He does the same thing with the tooth brush AGH terrible twos suck ![]() |

Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??

Time outs sorta work for us, but it doesn't last. I got to the point where I put her in her room and close the door. When we're in public I walk away from her. If I tell her "no" she throws a bigger fit and screams even louder just to prove a point I guess.

"Yo Mama!"

when I was little, my mom got down on the floor in a store and threw a temper tantrum with me, to this day, or a few years ago since I haven't been there in a while, I go into that store with my arms folded
My mom looked like a fool but I guess it worked! |
