Yes - it's frustrating. I try to give Liriel choices. If she doesn't pick one of her options, then she gets none or my choice. I do find that at night when she is tired is always the worst though. Some of the things I've read say they are trying to control their surroundings - especially since there are often so many things they can't control.
As for the tooth brushing - I think that's pretty normal at this age. I figure as long as they are getting into the habit of brushing, that's more important right now that perfectly brushed teeth. But I'm pretty laid back about that.
Supposedly he's an angel during the day while he's at daycare - which I find hard to believe.
Yesterday, I talked to Mindy about what we've been going through with him because I've been dropping him off in the mornings wearing his jammies because he won't let us change his clothes in the mornings anymore and she said he's not that way at all when he's with her, infact he's the complete opposite - he's the most helpful out of all the other 4 kids she watches every day. Grrrrrr!!!

LOL - this is actually VERY normal. Little angels with others - Demons with the parents. My mother would always be amazed how at parent teacher conferences she would hear how wonderful her children were. She wondered whose kids they were talking about.

Of course he is that way with her and not you. Your his mommy and he must terrorize you...Kate is an angel at dc or with my mom and I want to strangle her most days.
Well maybe ages 4-6 will be good. But I've got live-in proof that it does get worse when they're older... Cody's been giving us hell in a handbasket for everything lately too!
