Equal Opportunity Offender Hussy!
|
My Noahkins is now refusing to drink his milk. He'll drink diluted juices, water and eat EVERYTHING you put in front of him. It just the milk. He'll take few sips and then shake his head no.
We haven't seen any signs of intolerence for him, and we've tried different brands and types. I put in a call to his ped...but I'm stumped on this one! |

Thomas was a little older, probably closer to 3. That's also when naps stopped, etc. As far as the bad milk, that happened when we were all still on the 'other' board, so he would've been about 2.5. Lauryn got the taste of Chocolate milk about 9 months ago, so just a tad older than Noah. She heard my neighbor mention it in the grocery store and continued to ask for it. I gave in and it's been an issue since. 'chocwat' is her favorite thing in the whole world
I wonder where she gets it from? |

Still the best Christmas present EVER!
|
Gage went through this when we switched from a bottle to a cup at 12 months. I just continued to give it to him and he eventually started drinking it again. It took about 2 weeks. Now that kid loves milk and prefers that over any other beverage (except juice) which he still gets watered down a max of once a day.
I hope this helps. Like you said with Noah being a premie it kinda changes things. ![]() |

Kate did the same thing with Milk, I tried adding chocolate and strawberry to the milk and it didnt help....what she did like is the straws that have flavor in them, because she could take a drink of the plain milk and then do it with the straw for a different taste. Here are the ones I bought...http://www.jelsert.com/sipahh/whyisitgood_00.html

My uterus is screaming at me to MAKE MORE BABIES!!
|
My ped says that as long as they are getting enough other items with calcium, that milk is unnecessary, so I wouldn't worry about it. My aunt's friend had a preemie and they had her keep Bri on formula until she was almost 2. She has never been a milk drinker and now at 8 she eats cheese and yogurt and no milk and is actually above average in height and average in weight. She is healthy as healthy can be without milk drinking.
Maybe instead of cow's milk you can try him out on soy or rice milk? If Josalyn ever gets any milk it will probably be rice milk (it will be a treat). |
