Mikes room is the coldest int he house. When he was little, we used the space heater, but i can't do that now, as he is in a bed, and can get out and touch it. I got him warm fleece jammies, and he sleeps in thoes, under 5 covers with socks, and he's still cold. There are brand new windows, and the fan is off, and the heat is on. Any other ideas? He came into our bed at 1:30 cold....

What about an electric blanket? How humid is it there? If not overly humid maybe adding a cool mist vaporizer would help - but being Florida I would think that's not an issue. Higher humidity feels warmer.

You could get some long underwear to wear under the jammies. And how about a hat for sleeping in? Keeping the feet and head covered will maintain the most body heat.

Have you thought about having your home inspected for leaks? I know that a lot of a home's heat is lost through the duct work in the heating ducts. Also, could you put shrink wrap over the windows? (That helps keep the cold air out and the warm air in, vice versa in summer). Put his bed on an inner wall if it's not already there. Look around to see if you can get a prtable heater that doesn't get 'hot' to the touch and turns off automatically if it gets knocked over. My MIL bought us one for the holidays last year and it was a life saver:

Hopefully, some of those help!

If the windows are brand new that's odd that a draft would be coming in through them. Hayden's room is cool too and we just dress him in layers. We make sure his bed is against an inner wall of the house and not on the outside.
