Yep that's exactly how I'd describe it - they look thinner or transparent in places, like the enamel has been worn away. Urgh. I read about fluoride making it harder for the enamel to regenerate itself. I guess starting today I'll be brushing them twice a day instead of once, but I think we're going to stick with the non-fluoridated gel until he's able (or willing ) to spit out regular toothpaste. He'll just have to deal I was thinking about it and the two teeth that have it were the first teeth he ever got at 7 months old. So I guess it makes sense that the oldest ones would be decaying first. Wow, I can't believe what can happen in a matter of a few months.

Sounds like a plan...
I agree with everyone else. And, I would say give it a day or two, switch the toothpaste, brush twice a day, and see if there are any changes...if not, book a time to see the dentist.

We have always just used regular old kiddy friendly toothpaste (the one's with the cartoon characters on the front). So, I have no idea really...

If they aren't hurting him (not complaining at all) I wouldn't worry too much. I can foward the picture to my boss (a dentist) and ask him to look at it for you if you would like....he's not a ped, but we see a ton of them for root canals....how old is he? If you want me to foward to him, let me know right away, and then I Can talk to him tomorrow and let you know what he thinks....
