We were thinking of taking Cade to NYC for a weekend in April and seeing the new Dora Live Pirate Adventure show (doing sightseeing too, but thought this would make a cool b-day present
He'll sit and watch the Dora DVD for an hour (well, he doesn't really sit, he just stands and dances and stuff ), so do you think he'd do okay at a show or is too early? The tickets for all of us are going to be $250 ![]() |

We took Alex to see Sesame Street Live...he was about 3. And he got kinda bored, but he liked Barney better so I think that's why. It was a great time though!
I took Hunter to Blues Clues live for his 3rd birthday..He was totally enthralled with the performance. We had front row seats to, so it was really awesome. We had such a fun day that day. I think he would sit through it fine..and what a great birthday present that would be!! Can I come !!! |

I'm taking Brenna to see Sesame Street Live tonite!! We have 10th row floor seats, and got a great deal on them. $47.00 for the both of us.
Since I've seen the commercials for Dora live, I don't think I would go and spend that much money. Why? Because everytime Brenna sees the commercial she says, "Where is Dora??" The actress looks nothing like Dora. So, for us... I don't think Brenna would have fun. We took Joshua to see SSL when he was about 2.5 and he loved it. He DID get very antsy though. And of course, you have to remember that you WILL be forced into spending exorbitant amounts of money for their "souvineer" stuff. So, plan for it! I already know that Brenna "must have" a $5.00 snowcone tonite. $5.00 for a cup of ice.... ridiculous. But, I'll pay it, because I know that she just LOVES those snowcones! LOL!!! |

Thanks girls!!
Kris, that's too funny - I thought that too when I saw the commercial, but Cade was shouting "Dora!!" so I guess he got the gist He likes live people better than cartoons anyways (like Lazytown) so I think we'll do it. DH is asking for that Thur and Fri off (we'd go on Fri) so we'll find out next week if he gets it. Luckily he doesn't have any class those days so it's perfect! He'd probably love SSL too (he LOVES Elmo) but we're going to Sesame Place in PA in August so they'll probably have some shows too? I hope you have a blast tonight! |

We took Thomas to see The Wiggles when he was 20 months old and he loved it. He was a little freaked, but sat on daddy's lap, sucking his fingers and grinning the entire time. It's a little pricey, but I know Cade would have a great time. Dh wants to do the Incredibles on Ice next. I've said no, but I think Thomas would enjoy it. we'll have to see how much $$ it is. I know they have to make some money, but geez it's a lot.
