Working Hard Keeping the Hussy's In Line
|
I combined quite a few granola recipes that I found and kind of 'invented' my own here...but, it turned out really amazing, so, I figured I would share it.
3 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup slivered almonds 1/4 cup sunflower seeds 3/4 cup shredded sweet coconut 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup dried cranberries - Heat oven to 250. - In large bowl, combine first 7 ingredients. - In separate small bowl, combine maple syrup, oil and vanilla. - Combine both mixtures and spread onto 2 baking sheets. - Cook 1 hour 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. - Remove from oven and transfer to large bowl. - Allow to cool and add dried cranberries. I store this in a freezer ziplock bag in the pantry and the kids and David EAT it up! |

Hunting for a new Brain!
|
I made this last night and it was so yummy!!! I liked it even better than the normal gronola I make, which was pretty good. I love the flavor! The only thing I changed was I added some ground flaxseed. Thanks so much for the recipe Belinda!!! We love it!!
