Yep, he'll be 10 on the 27th!!! I can't even BELIEVE that my "baby" is entering the double digit world of "tweenland."

Yep, the concert is Monday night. He plays the viola... and he won't be able to play at all. =*( Of course, there's always a chance that his pediatrician will review the films and find that he's totally ok without the cast. I dunno. I just worry about permanent damage, ya know??

Better to miss one concert and be able to play again than to push it before he is ready and have long term damage. While I hope his elbow is perfect and he can play in the concert, I guess you can go to class on Monday night if it's not.
I wouldn't worry too much about permanent damage, my arms are just fine now and I broke/fractured my elbow when I was about 10. My bone almost popped out of my skin. It hurt so bad, I almost feel sick just thinking about the pain. That's a story in itself, but I won't hyjack your thread.
I've also hyperextended (bent it the wrong way) both of my elbows twice.

Dude! Hyjack away.... what HAPPENED?????
I'm glad that you recovered nicely!!! That gives me hope since his doesn't sound anywhere near as severe as yours!! Gracious!
