He was playing with a neighborhood friend on their trampoline and bit his tongue on the side. He came home crying with blood everywhere. I was surprised that he didn't take a whole chunk out, but it's half way through his tongue and bitten pretty good. David ran him up to the Patient First, but, the doc there said to take him to the ER, that he needed stitches.

They've been gone since 8:00 and there apparently is a long wait at the ER. So....I might be home tomorrow depending on how he feels in the AM. I will take pics and post them when I can. YUCK. Poor guy! My heart breaks for him!

Thanks girls. They didn't get seen until after midnight last night, and didn't get home until 1:30/2:00...so, needless to say, I'm letting the poor guy stay home today and sleep in. My Mom is staying with him today since she has so much sick time.

The doc said that he didn't need stitches and just to rinse it periodically with peroxcide and water and be careful with eating, other than that, no special instructions. I worry about having such a young child rinsing with peroxcide, so, we're going to try salt water for today to see how he does.
