Sadie's doing pretty good. She had the colonoscopy done on Friday when Peyton had his procedures. The results were definitely not what we were expecting though! Her colon looks pretty good, with very minimal inflammation and no ulcers/lesions were found. The doc said even with upping her meds and going on the steroids that its highly unlikely for her to heal that quickly which probably means the bleed is located somewhere else. He's now wondering if there are lesions in the small bowel that weren't picked up on the upper GI (because its not as sensitive a test). So I guess we're still stuck at square one for now. We're going to start weaning her off the steroids over the next few weeks and see how things go with that and give her a chance to pass all of the barium solution from the upper GI (apparently there was still some left - yuck!). Our next step once she's weaned off the steroids is to try a Capsule Endoscopy, were she swallows a pill that contains a camera and it takes pictures over 6 hours as it passes through her digestive track. Hopefully that will provide some more answers for us!

I was also wondering about that one! She will be wearing a receiver and the camera will transmit the pictures to the receiver right as there being taken. Then the capsule is just passed with her stool and flushed (Thank Gawd!)
