Working Hard Keeping the Hussy's In Line

Girls! I am sooooooooooooo excited! I have been looking for childcare for this summer for MONTHS. My search started in April and have not found anyone who could watch them (since I only need part time). DH's work schedule changed, and he is now working 2-11, which means I needed childcare from 1:30 - 5:30 Monday - Thursday. And, everyone wanted full time, not part time, even though I offered to pay GREAT $.
I finally worked my way up to calling the director at the childcare center, because I was just so frustrated. I had actually gotten to the point that I was going to HAVE to pay the full time rate for both kids this summer, which scared me to death! Anyway, Mrs. Brenda, the director, just called me back and said that she spoke with the manager on duty and said that they would make an exception for my kids! I COULD NOT believe it! I am going to have to do something really special for these people! They are WONDERFUL to me! So, now, I will be saving $115/week or $460 a MONTH! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited that I could just BURST! This is unbelieveable! What can I do for all of them as a group and for Mrs. Brenda too? any ideas girls? I did give the two girls who helped me last time with katelynn being stranded at school gift cards to Starbucks...but, for this, I would love to just send them food or something really NICE. HELP! |

I thought about that...like I could order pizza or something...????
I thought about having boxed lunches sent in from Ukrops...but, didn't know what they would all want. With all the allergies and stuff and people watching weight/counting points...just want to do something nice, but be thoughtful too. ![]() |

I just got off with David...he said that they would LOVE my bananna bread. He thinks that something 'homemade' like that would mean more to them (and would be less $ to us.
What do you think???? A couple of loafs of bananna bread? It WOULD use up those old banannas I've got frozen in my freezer. I could always do a bananna bread, a pumpkin bread AND a pound cake or something (that way there is variety for everyone. ![]() |

Bottoms Up!

Um I have an idea (raise hand), you could send me the first batch of each (bannana bread, pumpkin bread, pound cake and even throw in some cinnamon coffee cake) and I can sample them for you before you give it to them.
Just a thought. |
