from Alexis and she was crying so hard I couldn't understand a word she was saying. Finally I got out she had to stay after school. I was thinking she did something awful and was getting mad and asked what she did. She told me she didn't read her AR book this weekend and had to stay after to read. It then took me 15 minutes of talking to her to get her to calm down. I told her I wasn't mad and just to call me back at what time to pick her up. I think once she heard I wasn't mad she was relieved.

I didn't feel sorry for her b/c I told her Saturday and Sunday she needed to read and she ignored me. But I couldn't be mad b/c I think it was lessoned learned and she felt bad enough it won't happen again! Her teacher called me to tell me she would just drop her off home so I didn't have to load up all the kids. Again gotta love a small town!

I am mean and had to ! I called DH telling him and a friend of mine! I know it isn't funny but it was!

awwe, it does sound like she learned. I have to with you because I have to tell Chloe to do her homework all the time and she gets so mad at me. One day I want to let off and let her get into trouble just so she knows why I ride her so hard about it.

I know what you mean... but not really . Poor girly. I'm sure she definitely learned her lesson there. I find that I have to do the same thing. I almost want to tell Katelynn 'I told you so!' sometimes. How bad is that???? But, so true. They never listen to us as they get older. Katelynn's newest thing is rolling her eyes at me now. And, of course, I think, "lovely....just lovely! I've turned into a mom that just 'doesn't know anything."
