Yesterday, I was downstairs watching TV, and I heard a loud 'thunk' from upstairs. I immediately heard Zachery screaming. I've never ran up a flight of stairs so fast in my life! Apprently, he was looking for his glasses, and uncertain on whether he had fallen asleep in the bed with them the night prior, he was up on his top bunk of his bunk beds, pulling back the sheets looking for them, and had stood up for a moment. Would you believe that my poor little man fell off of his top bunk bed and landed on a step stool on the floor! It was awful. (I have a kiddie step stool on the floor so that I can reach him to tuck him in at night because I'm only 5'2" and am too short to reach him to tuck him in. The poor guy even had the swirl imprint from the top of the step stool on the side of his temple and a scrape by the side of his eye!

Being the horrible scrapbooking mother I am, of course, I operated on his boo-boo and then took pictures for a boo-boo scrapbooking page! I know...I know...I'm mean! But, I had to take pictures...it was a scrapping moment. I took pics of the top bunk and the step stool he landed on too. It will be called "From Here 2 There = Boo-Boo." I have pics of Katelynn when she got stitches too. It makes for interesting stories later on when they grow up!

Yeah...he's fine. Nothing a little kiss and some ice didn't cure within minutes. No matter how old they get, a kiss just always seems to make it all better. He really did scare me though.

What's funny is that he was trying to smile while I was taking pictures. I had to tell him it was ok, that he didn't have to smile this time. Poor guy! Shows you how much I make them smile for the camera!

OUCH - you made my stomach sink reading your post. I HATE those moments. Poor guy.

You are SUCH a mean mommy! I do the same with my kiddos! Poor Lexie has more pictures of herself in the hopital and all the times she got stitches (what can I say, she was a clutz as a toddler) too! So I am in the mean mommy club too!
