Little girl is doing great and was confirmed to be head down (woohoo!) with a h/b of 156 bpm. The kidney blockages are still present but have gotten a smidge better, so from here they are leaving it in the hands of our pedi as to whether he wants to do an u/s after birth or how he wants to followup but they feel confident all will be just fine. She measured in overall a week behind at 34w4d and weighed in at 5lbs 6oz - so she is a little bit bigger than Peyton was about this time. Cervix looked good and measured 2.75, so their thinking despite all the ctx and irritability that she will stay put for atleast another week to two weeks hopefully. My fluid levels were within the normal range but were at the very high end which they said can contribute to PTL too.
Now for the bad news, come on now you think I'd get away with only good news.... ugh! During the u/s the tech noticed that I also have fluid in my kidneys so he went ahead and measured them. The left one is only slightly enlarged and they think it could just be related to the pregnancy however my right one is about 4 times bigger than the left. So now once baby is delivered and I'm recovered from the pregnancy I have to have an u/s done to see whats going on.... ugh!
Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
I'm glad to hear all the good news, but sorry you had the not so good news too. Did you have any issues with your kidneys before/with the other pregnancies? I wonder if you did and it went unnoticed. that it resolves when little miss trouble maker is born.
I'm glad you had good news about the baby. Sorry to hear you have some ill behaved Kidney's of your own though. Hopefully what ever it is goes away after giving birth.
