I knew someone in college with that name. I wouldn't worry about what the rest of the family thinks. Most likely they will end up calling her what ever you call her. Many of my family didn't care for DD's name either, but after she was here they thought it was a good name for her.

thankx!! we had the same issue with our son's name (Damien) with my husband's mother side of the family...they all said we were corrupting him and setting a bad image because of the movie "The Omen". But we told them to either call him Damien or dont call him at all..so they are getting the same response when they say they dont like Kirstin.
