I knew this pregnancy was just to good to be true. Perfect....until now.

Yesterday I felt this huge gush run down my legs. My first thoughts were that my water broke until DH gasped b/c it was red and a lot of it. I quickly changed & threw on a pad while DH called his mom to come over with the LO's - the older girls were at my parents house - and out the door we ran. I can NOT believe the amount of bleeding. We went straight to L&D and as soon as we walked in my OB was actually walking down the hall. He took one look at me and all the blood that was all over me again and him and a nurse put me quickly in a room. He called the anastetic (he was sure I was on my way to the OR for a CS) and u/s to confirm abruption and were the placenta was at.

Nope.... No abruption. They could fine NOTHING wrong. Wonderful but still a little scary. Fluid is perfect, good blood flow with the placenta / cord, little man had an excellent h/r the whole time and looked great. I had maybe 6 contractions the whole time I was there (noon yesterday to this morning) and honestly I only felt 2 of them. I think the others were little man pushing out and moving. I am dilated to a 2 and 60 -70% effaced but really no concern about that since this is baby #5 and just what my body starts to do early on. My cervix was at 3.2 so all is good there.

SO, I am at home on strict bedrest. I have no idea for how long. I am still having some bleeding. More like little spurts of gushes and then just spotting for 4 hrs or so. Since it isn't pouring out of me and I stay in bed my OB said I could come home as long as I get there asap if anything changes.

I am so relieved baby boy is ok but I have SO much to do for him. I still have to get him clothes / blankets / a car seat ........ Not to mention washing things up and getting the moses baskets down / washed. Ugh, I was planning on having time to get this all done. I have 6 weeks left until my scheduled induction but if I am bleeding still they may take him in 4. Which means I will be on BR until I have him.

Anyway keep your that this bleeding stops and we can have an uneventful rest of pregnancy!
