Sorry for keeping those of you wondering waiting all day, it sure has been a very long day!

Well unfortunately (or like always it seems) I have good and bad news.

Baby was actually much more cooperative for this scan but was very stubborn at times . Overall baby measured in at 18w3d, so pretty much right on and was weighing in at 9oz.

WE GOT OUR LITTLE GIRL!!!!

Now on to the bad news... she does have renal pelvic dilatation in both kidney's. Right now its on the higher end of mild, 6mm on one side and 7mm on the other (10mm is considered severe). This is what Peyton had although it is much more common to be found in baby boys rather than girls. We will need to keep a close eye on it for now, with worse case being a procedure after she is born to unblock the kidney's. Her heart looked okay but it is still too small to check for any murmurs, etc. They also found or I should say did NOT find the middle bone in her pinky finger. These are both markers for Down Syndrome so the Peri recommended we do an amnio. I was totally shocked and taken back by the news that I wanted to hold off scheduling it until I had some time to absorb everything and do some research. She did make it clear that the amnio itself presents concern with my history, I didn't get any further involved with risks. She was okay with holding off on any decisions until we come back for another level II u/s and echo in 3 weeks to check on the kidney's. After we got home and had time to talk about it, we decided we're going to go a head with the amnio most likely so I'm going to call back tomorrow and get some information and go from there. So I'll keep you guys updated
