Mommy to be
|
Thanks ladies :)
It's just hard because it feels less real now than it did even when I was first pregnant and I don't know why. I just want something to attach to, a name and an imaginary face and everything. I feel like an awful mom, even though I know I'm just pregnant and hormonal and nuts. |

It's totally understandable that you would feel that way since you don't have a name or anything to attach to...
Hormones are a crazy thing... and you will be an awesome mom... I can see the baby right now in a little tie dyed onsie ![]() Quote:

Why you wonder - because that is what Arnold Schwarzenegger character was going to call the baby if it was a girl and "Francis" if it was a boy. In the movie he did where he was pregnant. So I just refer to unborn babies as "Junior" ever since I saw that move eons ago. Yes, I'm weird. I did a bunch of stuff with my family tree earlier this year and I was surprised by all the girls that were apparently named after their mothers. And no - the mothers were not dieing in child birth. Evidently it use to be as common to name a daughter after the mother as it still is to name a son after the father. Or it was a thing my family did. Do you have any names picked out yet? I went into L&D with just a girls first name and a bunch of baby name books. LOL |

Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??

What a bummer about not finding out the sex. Have you looked into going to a place that does gender U/S? We did that to make sure Lauryn was a girl before buying a bunch of stuff. I can relate to feeling unattached. I really felt that way with Thomas and did after he was born even. It felt 'weird'. I knew I was supposed to feel one way, but I didn't feel like that. My feelings changed, but it took time. Now I can't imagine being away from him for more than a few hours. You will feel that connection, it just may not be on the same time table as someone else.

I am sorry the baby wasn't cooperating to find out the gender. That stinks and has always been a fear of mine when I have been pregnant. I am so anal I have to know what it is or I would go nutso.I was REALLY unattached with Ella. So much so that my OB even noticed and did an early 4D u/s and then gave me 2 more after that at 25 weeks. I then started to get a little excited and try to bond a little bit. DH forced me to a lot of shopping for the baby and then I started getting better. ![]() |
