Welcome home baby Lily!!!
|
I have my ob appointment today at 1:10 pm. I'm going to try my best to see if she will write me off on maternity leave today. If I even have to resort to shedding a few tears, I will. It won't take much to make me cry.
I'm starting to get miserable feeling and I think stress is really taking it's toll on me. My sciatic nerve is so sore. On my right side from my butt cheek down to my calf of my leg it hurts. I can't get comfortable in bed and sitting too long in one spot, it just burns. I have heartburn galore. I'm starting to get morning sickness back again at night. I NEVER had that with the boys but I am having it this time. I can't breathe as she's so high up under my ribs and I've had a constant cold since the end of December. I'm not sleeping well at all and just so tired. Work...omg!! Where to start. I was told last week by my hag supervisor that I spent 17 minutes going to and from the bathroom one day and I need to find someway to cut it down to less. I had worked a 9 1/2 hour work day. So she actually timed me each time I got up and walked to the bathroom and came back to my desk. I had cross-trained someone to be my backup and she and my hag boss aren't getting along so they tell my Thursday they've found someone else so I'm supposed to be working all this overtime to get her trained. Why are they waiting till the last moment is beyond me?? My normal hours are 6:30 am - 3:30 pm and I'm supposed to be with her this entire time but then they want me to come back again around 6:30 pm and work 2-3 more hours each day. Plus I'm working every Saturday. She told me last week I sure picked an incovenient time to have a baby as we've got so much going on a work. Thanks a lot ![]() Last edited by DKGirl; 02-04-2008 at 12:02 PM. |

It wouldn't be hard for me to shed a few tears either! I hope dr will write you off. You don't need any more of this stress or that lil girl of yours is going to want to come too soon. Let us know how it goes! Tell that lady to go stuff her 17 minutes because she doesn't have a baby jumping on her bladder. 17 min really isn't that long considering your shift!

I have a feeling your bp will be up when you go in because of all the stress and it won't take much for your doctor to write you down to at LEAST 40 hr week work or less. Overtime at this point in the pregnancy has to be a royal PITA - not to mention having to work with such cruddy people. |

**UPDATE**
She wouldn't write me off yet. My blood pressure was 158/98 and the swelling was moderate. She did write me a note for me to only work 40 hours per week and I'm now going weekly. They made the next two appointments already. She was reluctant to write me off yet as she said insurance is getting very sticky about it in regards to short term disability and FMLA leave but if I continue to feel this bad she'll definately take that into consideration and do it very soon. Since she'll be seeing me weekly it will be much easier for her to monitor. Working 40 hours a week is so going to piss them off as it's in writing and if they force me to do it they can get in big trouble. This should help as I'll be getting lunches again only working 8 hours per day. On baby news, the heartbeat is still very strong and I'm measuring about 1 week ahead. She's also already head down. |
