The morning was a bit rough. She couldn't eat anything after 2:30. She woke up at 3:30 wanting to eat. She could have acutally had some water then but she didn't want any of that. She cried for half an hour but then calmed down and went to sleep. When we got her ready to go she was a little bit fussy but nothing too bad.
We checked in at 7:00. Xandria was a trooper sleeping until they checked her to make sure she was healthy enough to go through the surgery. she woke up as the nurse was checking her and starting cooing and smiling like crazy at the nurse. I was very surprised but grateful.
We talked with her Dr. and the anesthesiologist and at 8:40 they took her away from me

That was really hard. She wasn't suppose to be done until 10 but at 9:15 the Dr. came out to talk to us. It went very well (and super quickly!). They were able to spot the cyst and poked a hole in it. I was able to go back a few minutes after that. Xandria was so mad! That is the most upset I have ever seen her. I know my poor baby was starving but she wouldn't eat. I guess when they took the breathing tube out she managed to knock her IV out and so they couldn't give her any pain meds through that. The nurse gave her some tyelonal and she eventually calmed down. After she ate we waited about 15 minutes to make sure she wouldn't puke then we were able to leave. It was a little after 11 when we left and they told us that we wouldn't be done until about one so it was a great surprise!
We will do an u/s in a month to make sure everything is still okay then a test to make sure she doesn't have reflux in three months. Poor girl has been a bit fussier than normal this morning but she's asleep for now. Mostly though she seems to be doing great. I'm so grateful to have it done and over!
