Default anyone one else have one?

Dean is such a hard baby. We are up still about every 2 hrs at night. If he isn't attached to me, he's screaming most of the time. I just can't take the screaming and crying some days. I put him on the floor to fold laundry while I stand next to him, and he screams. As soon as I pick him up, it's like a switch, and he shuts it off. Everyone keeps telling me I need to break him of it by just letting him cry, and I really don't believe in CIO. I have let him cry for a few minutes while I was standing there, and he just screams....people keep saying"wow, he has you trained..." makes me mad. He won't accept ANYONE else if i'm in the room, including DH. It's getting so hard to be home, cause I have to always be holding him. I'm trying to break him from sleeping with me at night, but that's the only way i am going to get ANY sleep, weather it's every 2 hrs or not. I tried putting him to bed in his crib the last 2 nights, and he won't relax until i'm laying next to him. How do you deal with such a hard needy baby? Mike is starting to get really jeleous, and he's telling me things hurt, and he says "Mommy UP" in this really anoying whinning voice. Then I put Dean down and pick up Mike, or I tell Mike that I can't cause i'm holding Dean, and he starts to cry. I feel bad, cause Mike needs me too, but Dean won't have anything to do with playing on his own for 5 minutes so I can pee. He won't even eat solids from DH. Only me. I'm EXHAUSTED. If I'm not here and I leave him with a sitter, he's fine(mainly my MIL) but AS SOON AS I walk in the door, and he can smell me, he's crying for me to pick him up....

Anyone have any sugestions for dealing with this? Mike slept through the night at 6 weeks, and never had "problems" like this....

I wish I had an answer for you. Lauryn was really hard, but the constant crying was much better by about 4 months. She is still a control freak and will scream/cry louder when I tell her "no". Maybe it was a little better because she was with a sitter while I worked????

Brenna didn't sleep through the night until she was 5. Yes... FIVE. Years... not months!!

So, yes... I've had a difficult baby. And, I'm missing several YEARS of sleep. I really don't have any advise... but I can empathize... for certain.

Chloe was a terrible child. I dont know what made me have another.I remember with Rachel I wondered all the time whats wrong with her because she would sleep and be happy. Have you tried white noise with Dean? Chloe slept better with a hair dryer or vacuum on. She also was very attached. She never stayed with anyone until she was 3 and went to preschool. All I can say and hang in there. IT will get better.. Listen to your heart. I never was able to CIO.. Kudos to the moms that can!

Brody is a really good baby, I can pass him around to anyone and he just smiles... I'm not sure if it's because since day one, I have let anyone and everyone hold him and help out or if it's because I was just blessed with a good baby... I tell people all the time this is God's way of getting me to have another baby and then that one will give me a run for my money I hope it gets better soon for ya hun...

Tyler is tough too-exactly as you describe. EXACTLY. As far as the sleeping, we had to let him cry. What I did was once I out him down I refused to pick him back up-I went in after 5, then 10 minutes and tried to settle him but I just did not pick him up, if he screamed louder I left and returned after 10 minutes, this only went on 3 days before he now sleeps through the night-when he was sick last month I had to do the same again but it only took 1 night and he never cried longer than 25 minutes. He is always great for other people but cries like crazy for me when I am around, it is super annoying.

Clarysa is starting out to be like this and it is super tiring. I believe in CIO so in a few months that is what we will be doing. It is super heart breaking at first but well worth it to me in the end.

I have to let Kate CIO nothing else seems to work, I tried all the sleep methods and this seemed to be the only thing that worked for her...it took forever to get her to sleep through the night, only happened within the last month or so and sometimes she still wakes even now. I did put on of those aquariums that you use in a crib, she had it in her crib and now has it attached to her bed so that she can turn the light and music on by touching it and it does seem to soothe her back to sleep if she wakes.

this is the one she has

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2264977

but they have a newer one...
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2265070

or this one

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2674699

For the first year I didnt put Kate down at all, she was either screaming from the reflux or screaming from the withdrawal from her seizure meds when we weaned her....if I would not have had a sling I would probably be bald and crazy now. She only wanted me, once and a blue moon she would sit in her swing as long as Ed would sit right next to it and talk to her but that was very far and few between.
