I use a normal size one , well two actually...

In the bigger one I keep all the diapers, wipes, one change of clothes for all, one burp cloth and bibs for all. In the pockets I keep a "first aid" bag (bandaids, creams, etc), a handfull of those individual wet wipes, empty bottle, sporks, sanitizer, couple crayons and a small notepad and probably a few other things. This is the bag that always goes with us.

Then I have a small diaper bag we use as the snack bag. I keep this loaded with snacks for everyone so all I have to do is add the liquids and go. I also keep a travel pack of wipes in the front for cleanup.

I don't bother with toys and such, although there is enough in the van if we need a few.

It's a regular sized diaper bag, but I could get away with a smaller one if I had to. Carter really is at the point where he doesn't require much. I keep a lot of stuff in the van so I don't have to lug it around in the diaper bag. Like extra diapers, Pull-Ups, and toys.

ok, i'm not the only one who uses my van for storage I keep some pull ups and diapers in my van, even though Mike is completely potty trained.

In my bag:
light blanket to cover up for nurseing
bibsters
diapers
wipes
butt cream
benadryl lotion(bugs LOVE Mike)
my wallet
lipstick
some toys for both kids
M&Ms for rewards for potty
Lollipops for rewards
raisens for snacks

I don't really carry a diaper bag anymore, unless we are going to be gone for a long time.

However, in my purse I have:
pull-ups
wipes
Benadryl
Epi Pens
snack for each B & I
Sanitizer
Crayons

The kids carry their own Sigg bottles.

We don't bother with toys either.
