Yesterday was such a long day! Xandria had some tests in the morning. I didn't know they made hospital gowns so small! It would have been cute if it wasn't braking my heart. They had to do her IV twice Anyway, we met with the Dr. in the afternoon about the test results. Basically both her kidneys are working but she does have the cyst in her bladder that is totally closed up. Next Wednesday they are going to go in and poke a hole in it. Thankfully it is a very noninvasive surgery. They don't have to make and cuts, they just go up through her urethra and will look around and then poke the hole. We can treat her like normal after the surgery she just might be a bit soar and have a little bleeding.

Xandria will stay on antibiotics for at least another month. Then they will do more tests and she if she develops any reflux (urine backtracking into the kidney). Hopefully we will be all clear then, if not we'll be keeping an eye on her. Anyway, trying to find a babysitter for Tai so early in the morning is not very fun. I will feel so much better after next Wednesday!

I'm glad it was mostly good news. I can imagine seeing her in a hospital gown was not fun.

Just and FYI - it's probably going to hurt the first few times she pees after they do that procedure. I had stuff like that done to me when I was young (3-5 years old) and I still remember it being unpleasant to pee after it. The procedure it's self was no problem though.

Poor little angel!! I'm glad you got some good news. Like Rebecca said, she may get upset when she wees for the first few times afterward. I also had a similar procedure as a toddler and mom says it was very unpleasant when I went wee afterward I don't remember it thankfully.
