i know when they did the skin test, it didn't bother him in the least. It wasn't anything like the skin test that they did on me(same DR) What should i do, ask for the blood test instead of skin? It's going to be the day after his 6 month shots...is that ok?
What do you mean, "are you crazy?" of course you're not.....your little guy was doing better and now he's not and that is soooooo frustrating. All you want is for him to feel ok. You're a great mother and you're feeling frustrated right now b/c he's feeling so bad. My DD had reflux and I stopped the meds at times, thinking she was better, but then she would relapse. It was horrible...and then I beat myself up for not giving her the meds when she obviously benefited from them. But then, there were times when she had the meds and was still having a tough time. I would think, "What if it's this? or what if it's that?" I just wanted to KNOW and I couldn't always figure it out. I have food intolerances and it's not always simple to figure out if what I ate is making me feel bad (or if it's something elses, like maybe i am sick and it has nothing to do with what I ate). Soooooo frustrating. Also, it's so frustrating to feel like you are doing everything you can but you still don't have all the answers.
BTW, I LOVE your hair! I wouldn't be brave enough to do it but I think it looks great on you, and so much fun!
I think you're a stronger person than you think you are! You want what is best for your family and you struggle with things but you manage to look upbeat through it all. You're probably much harder on yourself than you should be. That's the way I am, too.

Yep here too....for all Kates tests it was a finger prick....they only did heels for the first tests when they are newborns.
I don't think Liriel has had a basic finger prick test yet. One reason I don't want lots of tests I don't think are actually needed. She MIGHT have had just a prick at her 2-year appointment for the lead test, but I still think they used some thing more than just a prick for that.

yes but Liriel is healthy so she hasnt had to worry about alot of tests, Kate has had so many tests done on her in the last 2 years it is hard to keep track of all of it. Unfortunatly not everyone has the chance to avoid testing for there kids, if I had not let them do some of the tests on her we never would have figured out what her problems were and gotten them under control.

I didn't know she had any problems?

Actually she had several blood draws her fist week of life because of the jaundice. They were not nice things. Especially when they keep stabbing my 3-day old baby in the foot because they are not doing it right. But thankfully she has been pretty healthy since then. Though I'm thinking of getting an appointment to see if they can figure out why she is always soooo itchy. She scratches herself up and it looks awful. Nothing I do seems to help much.
