Food Questions???
Okay Shannon would not take regular baby food until he was 6 months old... Now after one month he cant seem to get enough. Megan is twelve and i dont remember anything... When should i switch him over to stage 2 food? I still give him infant oatmeal in the mornings and them a veggie at lunch and dinner. I guess i am scared he will have a problem with the thicker foods... Paranoid mom here ....please help
Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
I would try him on the stage two and just see how he handles the chunks. I'm not sure that he would be getting more calories that way or if it's just chunkier?? Have you tried mashing up table food and trying him on that? I pureed a lot of food for Lauryn. She wasn't a big jar food eater. If we had pot roast for dinner I you put some in my miniprep and feed it to her.

i havent tried table food yet however my mother said that that was all she did for my brother and I. I guess we season so much when we cook that i was scared that might bother him...
Jayden is on stage 2 and has been for some time. I don't think the consistency is different between stage 1 and stage 2 just the amount in the jar and much more variety. Its the stage 3's that have chunks.

I notice the difference in variety, i guss i will give it a go and see how he takes to it. So far everything has worked with no alergies... i guess its time to move on. I really cant believe how paranoid i have been with everything. I guess because of the gap between him and Megan. thanks for the tips...

The other difference is that most stage 1 are single ingredients and stage 2 often have more than 1 ingredient in it. (Not counting water or preservatives here - lol).
I hardly ever gave Liriel baby food. Mostly mashed up table food or fresh fruits/veggies. Processed baby food really doesn't taste all that great. And I would not worry about the seasonings unless you are dealing with an unknown allergy. The US is one of the few places that feels a need to prevent infants and toddlers from having flavorful foods.

Severe allergic reactions is the worst - but if you don't have allergy problems in your family, I wouldn't worry about that too much. I never really did do the 1 new food every few days.
