If he ate the organic ones, he would probably be just fine. A banana is a banana - unless you buy the fancy expensive ones that is.

Good luck Amy!
I think I switched Austin to Stage 2 pretty quickly. We tried all the stage one for about a month and then switched him over. he's been on stage 2 ever since. Technically, he should be on stage 3 or something chunkier. I have the opposite problem, austin won't touch real food and only wants it on a spoon out of a jar!
I've tried to get him to eat some puffs or cheerios, cooked green beans, etc, and he doesn't want anything to do with it.

i am hoping he will take to something chunkier. When should i try something like the arrowroot cookies or the harder items that he can gnaw but that arent to small that he might swallow? I am also trying to get him to take a few ounces of water or watered down apple juice but he doesnt want it. All he wants is cereal mixed with a little baby food and milk.

I HATE the arrowroot cookies . . . my personal opinion. Cayten would knaw and knaw and knaw at them. They would make a major mess and even though he was like 9 mos old, he would still choke on them cause he would knaw on it til it was just small enough to fit in his mouth. UGh!

How about giving him the mesh teether that you can put stuff in. You can put some frozen fruit in it? You can put a bananna in there or some frozen peaches?

I had the same problem with the Aroowroot. HUGE MESS! I made my own teething biscuits and they were well recieved for a while. Have a look at this website. It has recipes for baby food and finger foods.
