"Yo Mama!"
|
Bless DH heart, he thought he was trying to help. He gave Clarysa a little bit of formula (not even 3-4 ounces). We found out a few days ago she doesn't tolerate it very well. Now she is all gassy, fussy, only wants to be held, and keeps spitting up. It makes me so sad. I know he was trying to let me sleep but AGH. So, what can I do to help her?

You will pretty much need to wait it out. You could trip some Grip Water.
Have you been able to pump any milk to put in the freezer? Then DH could give her that if he wants to let you sleep for a few hours. I would try not to skip nursing sessions right now if at all possible though, because it could mess up your supply. I remember the 1st week I had my DD my sister was over and she watched my DD for 2 hours so I could take a MUCH needed nap. My LLL leader looked at me funny at a LLL meeting when I stated that was something I found helpful. Probably because they would say sleep with the baby, nurse lying down. BUT I hadn't figured out how to do that yet and I desperately needed a few hours sleep. Actually I needed a LOT more than that, but a couple hours without worrying about the baby was sooooo helpful. But I had to wake up to nurse the baby. |
