I started Austin on cereal this weekend at the advice from our pediatrian. I was reluctant to start him so early, but, the little guy has been eating 35 ounces of milk a day!!!! So the pediatrian said since he used to sleep through the night, and has stopped, that the poor guy needs some real food. So, he talked me into it.

My little guy took very well to it and ate it right up. I was really surprised at how well he ate from the spoon. I uploaded pics if you wanna check them out: www.jonesfamily2.shutterfly.com

If he's eating without any problems, then he may have been ready to start solids. LLL recommends Bananas, Avocados, and sweet potatoes as good "first foods" if want to try some fresh foods with more nutritional value than rice cereal (which has very little nutritional value I'm told).

AWWW! What a big boy, it is good he took to it so well. Must have been ready, seems like they just grow up so fast. I'm with you though on keeping them small. He is such a cutie-Jake was looking at eh pics with me and kept saying," Aww, cute baby, big boy."
