Default AF coming every 2 weeks????? Help! (long)

What is going on with my body?! This is long girls but I need some opinions!

I had my first PPAF on 9/9, all signs pointed to my regular O on CD 16 - but instead of O'ing I got another AF on 9/24!! This time signs seemed to point to me O'ing earlier than usual, and I got crosshairs on CD 12 which was 10/5 (although personally I think I may have O'd on 10/4)

At 3 DPO I had horrible cramps and fatigue and my bbs have been killing me. Yesterday my nipples were so sore I was in tears pumping. These are the exact same symptoms I had with Parker at 3 - 6 DPO. So I was actually starting to wonder if I'm preggers again DH and I weren't trying but we certainly weren't preventing either, so it would definitely be possible. I ran out last night and bought some progesterone cream just in case, because I got preggo last August while I was b/f my first DS but m/c right away, so I'm worried about being preggo while b/f. I used a little cream last night and this morning, and a little again about 2 hours ago.

This morning I had tons of creamy, slightly stretchy (but not EWCM) CM, and then I went to the bathroom about an hour ago and I'm now spotting!!! It's light and it's mixed with tons of creamy CM, just a little pink on my pad, but now I'm worried that AF is here again!! I did have spotting with Parker at 12 DPO but I'm only 5 or 6 DPO now.

Any ideas?? Why in the world would I be getting AF every 2 weeks? Or could this really be implantation spotting? Or could it be from the progesterone cream even though I've only used it 3 times? I'm going insane not knowing what's going on with my body!! It's so frustrating because after I had Cade I got AF back at 40 days PP and had my totally normal cycles ever since. This time I got AF back 40 days PP once again, but my cycles seem all screwed up!

Oh, here's a link to my current chart - http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/38404

And here's my BFP chart with Parker, I accidentally removed it from my FF homepage - http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/Char...chart22678.png

Thanks for responding Donna! This is so strange to me, I wasn't sure if any of you girls would have an answer - but at least I can muse with you guys!!

It's still very, very light pink spotting with tons of wet, creamy CM. I just went to the bathroom and there wasn't any spotting this time. I checked my cervix (which I've done about 3 times since I started spotting) and (sorry - TMI!!) there was nothing on my finger except the CM.

With Parker I started light, light pink spotting at 9am on 12 DPO. It lasted until about 6pm, and then when I checked my cervix at that time my finger was clean except for loads of CM.

So I don't know what to think - is it AF or is it a BFP in the making?? - and which one would I rather have? (Oh who am I kidding - the BFP of course!! )

I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow morning ... if the spotting is over, or AF arrives, and what my temp does. My temp dipped today, so we'll see if it recovers. I'll keep you updated

Well, I still have no clue what's going on. I'm thinking most likely it's AF. My temp went up today, but I'm still spotting this morning, still light but heavier than yesterday. I looked around online and apparently it's very common to have a temporary luteal phase defect while breastfeeding. Because if this is AF then my LP is only 6 days - definitely too short.

So now I'm really peeved - we were planning on TTC in January, but it looks like if I'm still b/f that's not going to be possible. Which means I have to wait until I wean Parker and get my regular cycles back before we can start trying. And I wanted to b/f for one year. ARGH!!! This didn't happen with my first DS. Someone just me! lol

Chris,

I am not sure what is going on with you but I can share my PP experience I had with Gage.

I had the LP defect while bf'ing with Gage, that is why I quit b/c I wanted that BFP. Anyway, In the beginning my LP was only 6 days and gradually it increased to 7 then 10 but it never was over 10 while bf'ing, so I quit when DS#1 was 6 months, b/c we wanted to get PG again.

I am on the minipill, which is progestrone, I know not the same, BUT I have been spotting almost every week, and then this weekend I had LIGHT bleeding for 3 days. don't know if that was suppose to be AF or if it was b/c I missed a pill by 12 hours. I don't know.

But Bf'ing can cause LP's to be short.

I hope this helps is some kinda way.

Tricia

Thanks for the info Tricia. I definitely think that's what's going on. It's just so weird - after I had my first DS my cycles were actually more regular than they had been before I got preggo with him. O on CD 16, LP of 14-16 days month after month. I got preggo while b/f when he was 5 months old but m/c. So I too stopped b/f him (at 7 months) because I wanted to get preggo with a sticky bean so badly.

I really didn't want to have to do the same with Parker, I was hoping to b/f for a full year.

I think I'm going to start taking Vitex. I read that helps with a short luteal phase due to high prolactin levels (i.e. b/f moms), and it takes a few months to lengthen your LP. So maybe by January I'll be back to normal, at least a little. I guess if not then most likely we'll be postponing TTC at least until Parker is 9 months old or so. Oy.

Chris, I think it all depends on how bad you really want to get PG> Some women don't need anything Ie, my pediatrician, her first 2 are 14 months apart and she was BF'ing, so it may have just been nature and not bf'ing that cause your m/c after #1. I was going to do vitex, but I just wanted to do it naturally that is why I quit with #1. This time we can't afford to get PG right now, to much is going on.

Although I want a girl and I really hope we will have one. Only time will tell.

I know what you mean, I really want that girl too! I was planning on using Vitex anyways to try to sway the odds for a girl, I'll just start it a little early lol, maybe it will correct my defected cycles If not I'm okay weaning at 9 months or so. I just need to learn some patience!

I definitely think it's AF - the spotting is now more of a light flow. I really hate that - it's too bad I have to see her so often! If I can't get preggo now, I'd rather be one of those lucky girls who doesn't get her back the entire time she's b/f. Oh well.

In a few months we'll hopefully be ready to start our campaign -

Thanks for all your advice girls!
