Some women bake buns......

Anyone have any experience with it?
Jayden got his first two doses yesterday and each time he SCREAMED the entire treatment and was a little monster afterward. He's been getting the Xopenex treatments for a month now and has never freaked while doing it, he actually enjoys it. The same thing happened today while doing it and he has been terrible all day. Literally he would not let us put him down at all without loosing it. Granted he has been miserable and pulling this to some extent for a while now, but I have not seen him this uncontrollable in a long time. |

Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??

I haven't heard of that being associated with the drug. Is it the taste that's freaking him out? I didn't think it had a "taste", but I've never used it. Does he get better after you rinse his mouth out or give him something to drink? Make Bobby taste test

Let me tell you about Pulmicort...
Back when Noah was still seeing the pediatric pulmunologist for the RSV antibodies he was prescribed Pulmicort as a preventative measure. Keep in mind that Noah was already on Xopenex as an as-needed basis. Well, Noah got really, really, really ill from the Pulmicort. He got a debilitating respiratory infection from the Pulmicort. If you read the insert, Pulmicort: - is known to cause a host of problems, including respiratory infection - is intended for kids ONE YEAR and older and UP....at the very earliest. DH and I filed a complaint against the practicioner, and ended up getting over $24,000 in medical bills "erased" that were due for the RSV antibody injections....... Please just be careful - you have other options. Xopenex is highly effective if used as directed, and worked splendidly for Noah. In fact, we still use in on occasion if he get sick. |

It can cause thrush if you don't rinse out the mouth and wipe around the mouth after dose. Pulmicort does have a place in therapy if prescribed and used properly. I've seen it prescribed at doses too high IMO.
