I have washed it bleach, detergent and vinegar.. what is left to get the stinky dog smell out of it? Or is it just time to buy a new one?

Baking Soda might take the odor out. I use that for cloth diapers and it helps a LOT.

You could then try soaking it in something that smells nice.

If that doesn't work - maybe time for a new one?

How about adding ammonia when washing it, I know that helps with nasty smelling poopy underwear, Maybe it will help with a dog bed.

I hung up it outside after it was washed and it does smell so much better.. Of coarse I am not going to put my face in and take a big breath..

some one please tell me what I was thinking when I said yes to 2 puppies.. I was INSANE thinking I was going to get help with caring for them.

After years and years of battling the dog bed smell, I finally caved and bought a basket/wicker bed for the dog and I line it with blankets that are EASY to wash. Works like a charm.

Mine is about as long as the sofa is wide (if that makes since). I have mine sideways next to the sofa. (so about 3 1/2 feet by 2 feet across - something like that).
