Giving away FREE crotch extenders -- do I have any takers??
|
Just wondering if any of ya'll had done insulation yourselves? We can get the machine from Lowes for a free rental if we buy the insulation from them. Is it really that hard to hold a hose and spray the stuff in??? The estimates we're getting from companies is like $1200!

I talked to Bill and he said there are a few things to look for when doing it on your own. One key thing you'll need to do is to putting up thick plastic surrounding the area leading up to your attic. He & our neighbor Adam did Adam's house first, then ours and they didn't tape off the area really good and his entire house was dust-filled.
He also mentioned that you have to stay clear from all openings to any vents - you don't want to get insulation in your vents. Also, keep the insulation level. I can't remember what he said the thickness should be though. You know, if you or Robert wants to call & talk to Bill, he wouldn't mind talking you guys through it. |
